Pot Wash

I don’t know if I’m missing something vital and enhancing to the caravanning experience, but we’ve been away this weekend to the old CL, High Rigg Farm in Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire, when I say old, I mean they are no longer a CL and in the handbook
but are really worth a visit.

Anyway back to the enhancing experience, what is the point of trotting off with a fold up basket full of dirty plates pots and pans etc to wash them somewhere else other than the sink in your caravan??

Is it a habit that can’t be broken, from when they used to be campers and kip under canvas or is it some sort of eccentric behaviour of look at me with my melamine flowered plates as they skip merrily across the grass to the pot wash area near the bogs and
shower.

Or is it something more sinister, like I don’t like fetching water in my super duper water hog.

So here are a few questions

Why do it???

What is the point???

What is the advantage???

What are the disadvantages???

Have they had the sink taken out???

Is there some kind of medication which could help them break the habit???

Is there some kind of medication which could help me understand the strange habit of what I see as stupidity???

Or

Have missed the point entirely, and some bright spark on this forum is going to put me in the picture and the not so bright 40w bulb is going to shine brightly mimicking a 150w bulb of enlightenment above my head.

If it’s an excuse to meet people, maybe just sit outside, especially in the great weather we’ve had this weekend and say “hiya neighbour have you been here before” which I find usually does the trick.
