iPad in France.

We are off to France for four weeks next month. Ihope to use the iPad to stay in touch. This will be o.k. At sites with wifi but if not I gather I can purchase a pay as you go sim card like the one I use here.

My French is limited - where do I purchase the card and what do I ask for?
