using a car battery instead of a leisure battery?

Hi everyone, I have a small, old Rapido caravan and I'm doing everything (within reason) on the cheap

I'm looking at the price of leisure batteries and can't find one under £50 and yet via ebay I can get a brand new car battery delivered for £25. Seems like a no-brainer but what disadvantage is there really to a car battery? If it is a longjevity isuue I
could pick up a car battery from my scrap yard for £10 and replace it when it goes - this is my most likely direction.

I'll be mostly using hook up facilities and will rarel;y require 12v lighting and I'm not certain the battery runs the fridge during transit yet, I haven't done enough investigation - but even so, surely I can get away on the cheap with a car battery?

What do you think?
