Hiding your indenty on here

I have to ask is it possible to hide your identity on this forum?  I didn't think so and have no reason to want to.  However for at least the last couple of days, and I seem to remember it appearing to happen before, on the latest activity page that where
the name of the user would be in green above the made a comment, liked a comment or started a new discussion this is totally blank.  It always is on liked a comment, I haven't noticed it started a discussion or commented as naturally when you clicked to read
it it would be obvious that the contributor had no name.

General observations anyone?
