Municipal verses other sites

Sorry if this has been posted before, we are off middle of june our 2nd time to France. We are Driving Down from Roscoff to Concarneau Area, looking at Quimper as well..We have never stayed on a a Municipal Site, we have the ACSI Card and Camping Cheques
never used the cheques before.. We would like a  Beach site and maybe a site inland .. Where is the best place to find these sites.. I did read a post that ValDA posted regarding Municipal Sites but cannot find it so if anyone can help that would be great
we are taking our dog with us as well his first time with us ..
