Carpets or no

Our caravan has removable carpets. What is the general opinion about whether to leave them in situ or leave them at home. We are going to Spain/France for 2/3 months in mid March and I'm thinking maybe it would be easier to clean a hard floor and it would
be cooler as well later on in May.
