Hi folks, I'd appreciate any help with regard to where to find the socket for plug in diagnostics tool on a Compass Cruiser. It's a a 2001 model based on a Peugeot Boxer 2.8HDI. The engine autodiagnosis light has come on after I swapped a fuse to check if
it had blown, but forgot to replace the borrowed fuse before trying to start the engine. Once replaced, engine started OK but the light remains on. Anyone any ideas?

The engine management light will stay on until it's reset using the appropriate software and terminal, as you've found out, despite the fault having been cleared. The bad news is that prior to 2004 each manufacturer had their own system and set of fault codes. Your simplest option is to go to a Puegot main dealer who will have the right kit. It will probably cost you about £40 to have the memory read and the fault indication cleared. We have a 2002 Fiat, so we know this to be trueSad
