Guidance on Metal Detecting on CL Owners' Land
I've sometimes been asked by caravan and motorhome visitors if they may use their metal detector on our land. If any other CL Owners get the same question, the following website may help, including legalities and ownership of any 'finds' -

This post might be useful, so I'm bumping it up rather than it be lost in the transfer to the new website.

, Ian ,thanks for that info'.A VERY useful & explicit piece of literature.Just what 'C.T' is best at.Part of the boatyard i am involved with ,was built up by waste from Victorian London etc ,as a result we often have trespassers digging for artifacts along the creek shoreline.During my recent grading of my land,i have turned up some old interesting bottles etc. Some distorted by heat or fire.So one assumption is that land clearance after the 'fire of London' is the result of these .
Thanks again ,regards
Pete/Triky..
