What is the largest awning size I can use?

We are looking at purchasing a drive away awning to use on our Vw california Camper van, I appreciate the neccessity to pitch up to the marker but what will the distance be from the marker to the edge of the pitch? the van is 1.9m wide & most of the larger
driveaway awnings that pitch parallel to the van are about 3.2m wide. We obviously dont need space to park a car as well but would this be too big? I've tried searching but can only find rules regarding the length of units not the width.

Some of the  new inflateable awnings actually project nearly 7m at right angles to the van, unless the van could be parked across the pitch I can't see them fitting on most sites.
