We are considering installing (free) broadband Wi-Fi for our CL visitors.  Can any other CL Owners:

  1. Give me the benefit of their experience.
  2. Recommend a cost-effect system if they know of one.

Birch Hill is a large CL and some of the pitches are 250m – 300m from the telephone point at the house: I suspect that a booster may be required to extend the range of a standard wireless router.

We have electric hook-ups which could also supply power to a booster, but some sort of weather-proofing would be required.

Our local broadband signal is good, but not the latest high-speed BT Infinity.  Unless a proper system is in-place, I question what would happen if 5 van owners all wanted to watch films on the internet at the
same time.

Happy New Year,

Ian Kelly
