First time to Spain

We go to France most years, but this year we were thinking of going on to Spain's mediterranean coast, mid-May to mid-June.  We have the ACSI book and prefer to stay on sites which accept their CC card.  Anyone got any experiance of doing this or recommendations
for sites to aim for?  Should we book in advance (we don't usually bother)?
