European travel and taking our Staffie with us

We are new to motor homing and are hoping to travel to Europe, taking our Staffordshire bull terrier with us. While doing some research I notice that some countries have breed restrictions-Staffies
being one of them. They say Staffies cannot be imported...does this mean we can go through the country as long as we do not leave her there, or are we not allowed to enter the country with her in the van…could we enter France en route to Belgium? Any dog travel
advice would be gratefully received.
