P & O versus Stena

I normally travel from Hull to Rotterdam with P & O but this year decided to go with Stena from Harwich. To get the best deals you have to go at weekends with P & O but there is more flexibility with Stena so this (and price) was the reason for the change.
However I was most disappointed with the ships as all the facilities are on one deck with bars, self service restaurant and 'posh' restaurant all in the same noisy congested area. There are no 'hideaway' spots and certainly no comfortable high backed chairs
for relaxing during the 6 hour crossing. The ships are certainly new and the cabins are clean and comfortable, but for me big is not necessarily beautiful.
