Camping Cheques/ACSI Info

Guys, although we've travelled quite a lot in France with the caravan it used to be mainly during school hols and so we always booked direct with the site.

This year we are off in June and want to meander to the Dordogne or follow the sun. There are lots of references to Camping Cheques and ACSI in the posts but I would appreciate it if someone could give me a concise appraisal of the schemes and do we need
both or if not which would be better.

I'm sure one of you many experienced Europhiles could easily advise eg Valda, Deleted User User and many others
