Travelling to Tenerife with a motorhome

My wife and I are looking to travel to Tenerife  with  our motorhome and would like to ask any member who has done this trip some ideas how to get there i.e which Spanish port for the ferry would be best, Any recommended camp sites as there does not appear
to be too many and did they do any wild camping and any other useful information  such as gas supplies. Thanks
