Road accident in France, warning

Bought a new Bailey Rimini last year. On the second day of our French holiday a French driver collided with the caravan causing damage to bottom trims, locker doors, main door and electrics.Total cost £2000. No persons injured, after some attention the caravan
was ok to travel. Without burdening you with details I made the mistake of signing a CONSTAT which in French law is binding on both sides. I am being held responsible for the accident and am unable to contest it without taking it to a French Court. The moral
is do not sign any documents in France, I do not know about other Europian countries.

Now that the caravan is back from the reparers, their quality of workmanship puts Bailey's in the shade.
