Leisure battery question from a newbie.
Hi,
I am newcomer to caravaning and have aquestion about my battery. I have just collected our caravan from the storage unit and have realised that I had left the power switch in the on position. This appears to have drained the battery. I have also noiticed
that there is a powdery deposit around the batteries negative terminal. I have cleaned the terminal up. The viewing hole on the battery is green, which I understand means that the battery is in good health. The caravan is hooked up to the mains at our home
and I was wondering if this will charge the battery now that the teminal is clean or if I have to use an actual battery charger for the job. My concern is that we are going across to France on the weekend with an overnight ferry crossing and was hoping that
the fridge would run off of the battery whilst we were parked on the ferry. Any advice would be appreciated.
