Dog's on OverNight crossings? i.e. DFDS Newcastle
Hi Folks,
My Wife's a teacher, so we're considering heading to Holland in October half term and using the Newcastle-Amsterdam crossing to save us time in getting to Dover (Newcastle port is circa 12 miles away from our doorstep)
We have "Carla" She's an X police German Shepherd and as she's been used to travelling in Police van's for years, she just loves to be in the car and being away with us! Hours on the roads is nothing to her and she makes the perfect travel companion.
So question is; when traveling overnight on such a crossing, what does the dog do, if they want a wee?
It say's on DFDS's site, that you are more than welcome to visit the dog during the crossing and will be escorted down, but the dog must stay in the vehicle. - again, we have no fear of leaving her, just feel a bit guilty if she can't stretch her legs!
Thanks in advance for any info.
Al.
