I have a 2013 lunar stellar caravan, and the awning light is not working. Its an led striplight, have manage to remove  cover strip. It looks as though the whole unit has to be removed to  replace strip. Is this a job for dealer, as I am concerned about resealing
unit to caravan , if not sealed properly it might void my guarantee , re dampness. Why are the simplest of jobs difficult nowadays!!! Any thoughts.

My Clubman is in tomorrow at the dealers for replacement of the awning light under warranty, the LED strip was barely glowing. They have to replace the unit which involves resealing, the van will not be ready for collection until Thursday to let the sealer "go off". I guess any DIY attempt resulting in water ingress will void a dampness warranty. I was under the impression LED`s were supposed to be more reliable than the filament type of light but from my experience with caravan LED`s that does`nt seem to be the case.

As it turns out they did not replace the housing just the LED Strip but how exactly I can`t say, works now anyway took about 30 mins by all accounts so probably worth a little more investigation on your part.

I have a problem with an older van. The awning light does not work or the ceiling light inside the van. I know they are linked somehow. I have checked the fuses and bulbs. Any ideas please?
