Washing windows (inside and out)

Our caravan windows have never been anywhere near as clean as when we bought the van.  I am reluctant to use too much pressure in case I scratch or damage the windows.

I wondered what are the best cloths/liquid to use to clean and dry the caravan windows for nice sparking results .Happy

It's dirt and grit that's catch the Windows, so copious amounts of water to wash off and then polish with a clean cloth using the  polish of your choice. Just avoid any that are mildly abrasive.

We also use copious amounts of water to washroom the grit etc, then use a wet microfibre clothnto wash the window down and a dry one to dry off.

I watched the You tube film about using Fenwicks Caravan cleaner and the person used his hands to clean the windows outside.  Then after rinsing off he just used Bobby Dazzler and then a soft cloth to wipe any marke off.  Haven't tried this myself as I always
use a soft sponge with plenty of water and then dry with a good soft chamois leather.

I go for the plenty water to wash off outside and then just a clean cloth. In side a damp clean cloth.

I wash outside with lots of water and caravan cleaner. Then I use furniture polish to polish after . Inside I just use furniture polish like pledge etc. This is very good and leaves them smooth and clear.

My OH is not allowed to touch them when we wash the van because he is too heavy handed . And would want to use a caravan brush So he's not to touch them .

From what I remember the instructions for Fenwicks Caravan Cleaner is not to use it on acrlyic windows, but I may well be wrong. I'm away at the moment so can't check the label.

I actually checked the Youtube video for Fenwicks caravan cleaner and at about 1min 40 in to the film he does clean the windows using his hand.  As I said I haven't tried this myself and probably won't as I'm happy with the way I do it.

Write your comments here...I clean my windows the " Fenwicks" way using my bare hand. That way you can feel any grit that is stuck on the windows and can be removed rather than dragging it over the window with a cloth.

Will read the label when I get back home. If it's ok I'll use that technique too. Thanks for the heads up.
