Is it normal for the cooker to go out

We have a new lunar venus with a small Thetford gas cooker. No issues with using the hob or grill. However,  when using the oven it frequently goes out. It's often when we open the oven door or we think maybe when its windy. I wondered if this was normal
or if we have a fault.
