Nine Week Caravan Honeymoon
I'm Fiona Driver, from Orkney. My husband Trevor Hunter is from Shetland. We got married on 17-7-17. No big deal – except we'd waited 20 years to finally get married! We are both musicians, and we played ourselves down the aisle in Stroud, in the Cotswolds, with a fiddle duet I wrote for the occasion..... It was 22 years…

Take the back ache out of pegging down
Finding pegging out very hard work, I decided to design a peg driver I could use standing up. Today I made one that works fine, It requires hard ground pegs - like big nails with tough plastic mouldings to form the rope hooks. It is fairly easy to push the mouldings down to the sharp end, leaving the metal shaft and flat…

Alice in the Palace
For a few years now our last trip of the year has been to some Christmas event, assuming there is a suitable campsite nearby. So we have visited Chatsworth (several times), Longleat and last year Warwick. I noticed, I think in the Club Magazine, that for the first time Bladon Chains would open later to allow members the…

Late Summer Seaside Snaps
In these dark days before Christmas, it's comforting to look at some photos from the Summer. And so, here's a few taken on our days by the seaside on our late-summer seaside trip to France. Our first stop was Camping Sainte Claire at Neufchatel en Bray: this was the only site which we booked. We met up with chums Jeanne…

Getting used to our New Motorhome
After tenting for 30 years plus and caravanning for 14 years, in March of this year we switched to a Motor Home. One of the main reasons for this was that we wanted to be able to move around more rapidly and easily and be able to utilise the Aires network in Europe. Our first forays were more like our caravanning days,…
