Can anyone tell me an easy way to look at individual site reviews. Seems like I have to go round the houses to achieve this on the "so simple website"
We are due to travel to Cromer from Derby next Sunday (20th Aug) and my husband & I are discussing the best route as we don't really know the roads that side of the country. At the moment we are looking at A52 to Grantham, A1 to Peterborough, A47 to Kings Lynn and then A148. Are there any better routes? We are towing an…
Just returned from a club site where I had an argument with the warden reference speeding on site and being accused of doing over 5 mph although car speedometer showed 5 mph. During this heated debate I mentioned to the warden that I had returned to site one afternoon to find him using his tractor mower to cut the grass on…
After staying on campsites abroad with hedges in between pitches we've decided we really like this idea and would like to see more campsites in the UK do the same. Would you prefer a hedge around your pitch? I would suggest something without thorns and to a height of approx 4ft. This would be just enough to give a little…
Hello - I'm looking for recommendations please. We started glamping in Dorset and Devon, then have been renting motorhomes the last couple of years for UK trips with our whippet, Dodger. We joined the club despite not owning our own yet. We've so far stayed at Beaulieu, Black Rock, Abbotsbury, Cheddar, Brecon, Rookesbury…
Anyone familiar with this campsite? They seem to have good facilities and the prices are not too bad but it is a large site and electricity is metered. Not opposed to metering just not used it in this Country, yet. Had thought about going back to Lady's Mile at Dawlish but they are very much more expensive for the second…
Just received a mail from the club detailing almost every uk site having availability in august. in 40yrs of membership i have never seen this level of empty pitches so i looked at booking 9 nights and was amazed that some days had low availability and therefore were £5 a night dearer than the next night, in all 4…
Does anyone know what is going on with the above? We usually go there for Christmas but when I tried to book it earlier in the year, it was shown as closed between (I think) October and April. I found out later (either on here or in the Mag) that it was due to refurbishment of the toilet block taking place during that…
Just back from Altnahara. Beautiful setting and the warden and his wife were most pleasant and helpful. Although the site was very wet the scenery more than made up for it and I look forward to our next visit. The wardens have just retired and we'd like to wish them good luck in the future.
I invariably refer to an OS map before booking a site, mainly because I want to minimise use of the car once there to go out walking or cycling, but also to decide / confirm for ourselves what route is the most sensible to get there. So, a plea to whoever sorts out instructions for the sites - please can we have the OS GB…
