Wondering if anybody has switched to a more desirable pitch the day after arrival. We once did it years ago, arrived on a Fri and moved to a better pitch on Sat morning, would it depend on the wardens? We haven't done this on a club site. Thanks
We have just returned from a Club site where the van next to us had a flag pole with flashing lights all the way up, and flashing lights around the edge outside their awning. These faced our awning and were visible when we were sitting outside. They were still flashing when I visited the facilities block at 2.00am as one…
This is the question put to me by another camper at Malvern. Usually I would say something positive as it's a site we usually enjoy. Did you know that trade vehicles are allowed there now? A dog tied to a tree all day barking, that seems to be okay now aswell. The worse thing is the grass cutting , all day and every day ,…
Hi all, does anyone know if levelling up of pitches is part of the refurbishment going on at Old Hartley? . We visit there every August and while we love the site and surrounding areas some of the pitches are very uneven.
Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the prices for pitches are way too expensive. Knaresborough club site. 3 adults and one child - £58.60. That's disgusting! Won't be staying there and to be honest, I am not sure why I am a member, most of the sites I have stayed at are independent.
Just seen the details for the Lincolnshire site so thought I would do the same with this one which was in the Bridgwater planning a couple of weeks ago and have been unable to see the plans, it is for a large storage area upto 500 units and 20 hard standing touring pitches a small toilet block and staff accommodation and…
I notice there is now a link to directions to site on the details page of the booking website. No more needing to access the old pages. Well except if you want to leave a review, perhaps they will put a link to that as well. I’m not sure when the link to directions appeared, I’ve only just noticed it when accessing a site…
Hi We have a large 8ft caravan and Range Rover tow car (so long) and as we were new to caravanning 18 months ago, I used the A1/A47 route (as it is dual carriage some of the way and wide roads) The A17 always comes up as the quickest and shortest way in, and I’m just wondering what people’s experience are on the A17 v A47…
Anyone taken a touring caravan onto Isle of Mull ? If so where did you stay and any practical issues - ferry roads etc ? Thanks.
Hi All - Just seen the announcement from the Club regarding the new BT powered WiFi on Club sites. I can't help thinking that this is stabledoor/horse has bolted - the internet is free and ubiquitous in most places. This will provide free email access and social media posts but you will have to pay if you want streaming…
