Hoping theres someone out there who knows about motorhomes and bike racks! We need to replace the old rack on our motorhome with one that will take 2 electric bikes. We recently bought a Burstner motorhome that has an old 2-cycle rack on the rear. Its a real struggle getting the 2 e-bikes secured as the arms and rails just…
Hi there, We’re hoping for a little bit of advice. We’ve been full-timing for 2 years, living and working from our Knaus motorhome, mainly off grid when work projects allow. We have a 175w solar panel fitted with our twin leisure batteries and an inverter for emergency laptop charge etc and my (possibly naïve) question is…
We have recently traded our N&B Flair for a Morelo Palace. The Flair is an excellent motorhome and we enjoyed ownership of it, only issue we had was with the dreaded Thetford Oven which has never worked in 2.5 years and numerous attempts to repair. main criteria of new van was nothing from Thetford installed. The reason…
Hi, I am based in Bexley in SE London/Kent. I have recently bought a Fiat Ducato SEA Dinghy which has 3 batteries. Engine, leisure and inverter. Leisure and inverter are powered by solar panels. I'm having a few issues tracking what battery powers exactly what appliance/plugs etc. and the inverter battery is draining even…
Hi all, I am fairly new to this so please excuse me if I am posting this in the wrong forum. I have a 2014 Burstner T740 Nexxo Sovereign, I have been looking at the solar panel MPPT, it has a very handy App for a smart phone, all is great and the 2 x leisure batteries get charged, no problems there at all. I have noticed…
We have an oldish Autotrail motorhome (2006) I know that with the engine running the starter & leisure battery will be charging, when we are parked up and we connect to an EHU will that charge the leisure battery or do I need to connect a stand alone charger to the battery directly to recharge/top it up, many thanks for…
The breakdown cover with the warranty on my motorhome will expire soon and I'm looking around for cover. The Club's Mayday policy seems relatively reasonable compared to other providers but I wondered if I'm overlooking anything? Any thoughts or comments would be much appreciated, thank you in advance.
We're pretty new to MH world so expect lots of questions over time :-). First one is to get sound for the drop down TV in the cab of an Autotrail Mohawk we have to choose the source from the cab dash console which then puts the sound through the cabs speakers. My concern is that this will drain the MH battery, like…
The cord has snapped on my door blind, is this repairable? Or do I need to replace it? there does seem to be any obvious solution to accessing it without removing the whole door skin, is this correct?
Plugged into mains. Electric hotplate works. Gas can be lit with match. BUT spark ignition not sparking and oven light not working. Any ideas? T
