Musing here in the snow. Just opened a packet of Venison Sausage from M & S, surprised to see they are made from New Zealand Venison. Has anyone tried these reusable Nespresso pods. Apparently you can fill them with your own preferred ground coffee and they will save you a fortune the maker says. There are quite a few similar ones on the market. Reusable Pods
Aldi have apparently toppled Waitrose as leaders in the supermarkets customer satisfaction survey. The top 3 being Aldi, M&S and Lidl. Apparently customers were impressed with not only Aldi prices but the high volume of UK produced fruit and vegetable that they sell compared to the imported goods of the others.
Are diets any good, or is it just best to eat less? (Speaking as someone who has been left at home for too long with the Christmas cake, spare mince pies and festive chocolates..... )
For all those on CT to like Snowdonia Cheese I noticed yesterday that Wykham Farm shop near Banbury (just off the A361 Banbury to Chipping Norton rd) now stock the cheese. I know there are a few on CT who are fans of the cheese, so if you're in the area it's well worth a visit and not just for cheese.
So, what 4 staples could you not do without, or even 4 fully integrated food and drink items? For me it would be: Potatoes Onions Milk (for butter and cheese making) Coffee. Mrs.WN would change the potatoes for Rice and go straight to the cheese.
