Hi all, I have just been reading the “Uprated Wi-Fi” article in this section and thought I would sound out members on wi-fi hubs and routers. I have a Maxview Roam router on the roof of my motorhome, mainly to boost the 3G/4G signal to our iPhones. We spend a lot of time at Black Knowl and Vodafone only gets one bar there,…
Last July the skylight window on our Stirling Eccles caravan cracked, we believe it was while driving but at first the insurance company refused the claim saying it was wear and tear. We contested this and they sent out an assessor. The next thing we heard was from the caravan dealer who had sent in a quote. They had been…
It seems that the CAMC web services have been updated since I last looked for a CL. If I look for a CL using links under "Search and book" I get a map view that allows me to drill down to find CL locations in my area of interest. When I click on a marker I get a popup that enables me to access information about the CL in a…
OMG how bad is the new booking APP I’ll tell you how bad bloody awful indeed. Poor performance, shocking loads speeds, very bad navigation and even just trying to use search for a site and booking is awful. How many clicks to get to a completed booking way way to many. Whichever agency designed and built this dog should be…
If I purchase a 7 day package, could I, for example, use 1day for 7 weeks. Similarly, does a 1year package give 365 individual days? I believe a 1 day pack is 24hours from 1st logon. Therefore, if I logon at 1800hrs my period would expire at 1800 the next day although I might have only been on line for 2 hours. Is this…
Getting a 502 server error, when hitting the search button, on both my iPad and iPhone when trying to book a ferry. Thought it was because I was out of country but back home now and still getting same error. Is this a known issue? thanks jim
I am able to log into the CAMC website, and log onto my personal section, but cannot access any of my personal sections eg My Bookings, and Caravan Cover details?
Seems like as part of the upgrade a new comms preference page was sneaked in. I just happened to look at mine to find they were somewhat different to what I thought I had set. Suggest members might want to check their settings to make sure they have not changed during the upgrade. peedee
Last month on receiving a Fuelpecker receipt 11 days after an alleged top up, I noticed that the fuel used was Diesel Supreme+ @ £1.659 a litre. It seems that volume of diesel fuel pumped was 34.99 litres at a cost of £58.05. As we have a Nectar card and points is per litre I always round it up. This immediately got my…
Motorhome policy was due for auto-renew, so 7 days before this date I called them to say "I did not want to renew my policy". They had already auto-renewed and taken the money, so they refunded me the full amount less an administration fee. Whether an auto-renew comes under the 14-day cooling off period seems to be a grey…
