We are thinking of using this 5 van site near Chippenham. It is certificated to the MCC. Has anyone used it or know anything about it?
Hi, we've just opened a CL site in Gotherington, just outside Cheltenham. We've had a few Caravan holidays in the past but nothing recently so feel we're a bit out of touch! We were just wondering what do people look for in a CL site. Do you go for the area first or do you look for hard standing and water/electric hook…
We are a new cl site situated in beautiful countryside nestled under the Malvern hills, wake up each morning to the sound of the countryside and stunning panoramic views, before you set off exploring, set yourself up for the day with our free range eggs, produced by our own lovely hens. The site has well maintained flat…
Updating my handbook from the Sep & Oct magazines, I notice that Higher Carthew Farm has closed as a CL. It was IIRC a regional 'top site'. The owner used to be a fgairly frequent poster some time back. What is the club doing to lose such quality CL's, particularly as this one was run by a club member. Do they really not…
hi guys, just got back from spending 6 Nights at Tax Farm CL in Derbyshire.Great little CL ,5 pitches all fully serviced with Ehu,waste water and hard standing on 2 terraces. The views are spectacular. The entry road is a bit steep but don't let that put you off.We got on and off with a 29ft Motorhome without a problem. The…
We love using CLs and have stayed at some lovely locations with lovely owners and excellent facilities over the years. Normally we plan our route and phone to book the chosen CL ahead of the visit. However, we ran into some difficulties on a recent trip, when we had decided not to book far ahead and simply phone on a daily…
Higher Carthew Farm CL site in Cornwall will close this coming weekend. We have been open 5 years and numbers have been falling. Silly reviews that don't help future guests book and errors in our listing in the directory have taken their toll. I have contacted the CAMH but not had any response as yet!
Please step-in to help a CL Owner: I strongly believe that Alan Franklin (AlanGL7) got an undeserved comment as part of a review on a the CAMC website - as a fellow CL Owner, I know that comments like this do 'hurt', especially when we try hard but encounter unrealistic demands. We've stayed at Alan's CL and know it to be…
We seek recommendations for suitable CL's in the West or South Yorkshire area that are suitable for a motorhome post Xmas & over New Year [ i.e. must be open all year & have hardstanding & electric]. Hopefully they are close to "wilderness" walks. Ideally below or just above the M62. Thanks PilgrimPhil
