My wife and I plan to retire soon- we have a (fondly loved) Dandy trailer tent and have always liked the clubs lovely selection of CLs. If we join the club, can we stay on all the CLs? and do Caravan owners resent trailer tents on these sites? Your views would be welcomed.
Just reading first post from this new CL, loo and behold whisked off into the ether goodness know where!☹️ Anyway, looks a nice CL, so re posting for obviously new forum member. Hope this proves useful for many, details of Site here.....…
There are many forums out there discussing 5 van sites no doubt as a result of the bookings boom. Claims that any organisation can get an exemption for a 5 van site, that you do no have to be a club member to use a 5 van site and that if you have a five van site you can add an aire are rife. Is this misinformation or true,…
There's still lots of space on CLs. See this link for a newly UPDATED MAP (March 2021) with 215 CLs. If you are looking for a pitch in the next few months, CLs could be your answer. The CL Owners group has put together a map showing the availability status (as of this week) at 215 CLs (out of the 2,000). Some find that…
I have just read on FB that this CL is closed as they are turning over to Glamping units, and can't do both. However it is still showing as being open on the club's CL website. Why?
From the Prime Minister's announcements today, it looks like CLs will be able to open from 12th April. Although we've not had formal notification from the Club, we've had plenty of provisional bookings from members who want to get in the queue for a pitch this year. Our CL was almost fully-booked during our 'open' periods…
Maddie, I've been looking through the new Site Directory, and it would appear that there are at least 3 CLs that are missing from it but are currently showing as still open on the CL web pages. Weston House, Yeovil (1386 in 2019/20 SD) Blakey House, Riley (1719 in 2019/20 SD) Monaughty Poeth, Knighton (2226 in 2019/20 SD)…
Just read a post from Paul Woodward to thank everybody for supporting them over the years but that they were making changes. He was asked if they'd continue to maintain 5 CL pitches but said that they will no longer be operating as a Certificated Location. However, any bookings placed will remain the same but with fully…
In 2020 when lockdown was lifted in July there was a surge of members desperate to get out in their units. Sites were swamped and in some areas it was impossible to find a site. Many motorcaravanners who had not previously gone off grid (I refuse to use the term wildcamp) found they had no choice. I was lucky to get three…
The increasing cost of club sites, £45/night for a serviced pitch at Cayton Easter 2022, is prompting me to look at CL's or pack up at the age of 81. My limited experience of CL's has shown they vary from outstanding to rubbish even with the same description. Many have the words exclusive use/ non exclusive use after the…
