Maps for walking

Hi.

In the February 2025 magazine it says on the digital magazine there is an extra bonus feature for finding maps for routes when walking.

I've looked everywhere and can't find it.

Can anybody help?.

Sue.

It doesn’t look like they have produced a February digital version yet, at least on the iOS version of the App, the last one listed is January's.

Not maps, but suggestions for walks and cycles, and not just in this country.

Komoot. Alltrails. Wikiloc. Walkhighlands. Outdoor Active. Phil's hiking resources.

I think at least some of the individual ramblers groups identify routes they have done, and may even include GPS files. Many (but definitely not all) of the Cicerone walking guides have downloadable GPS files.

At least some of the major UK trails e.g. walkthewalescoastpath.co.uk have descriptions and gps files

SteveL thank you for your reply.

I see what you mean about the digital February magazine not being available yet, but I was looking for the additional content only found on the Web and when I looked on the search magnifying glass it showed images of the front cover of the February issue so thought that's where it could be.

perhaps I need to wait for the February issue to be available and then search again.

Cheers and have a good day.

    Hi everyone,

I've just heard from the magazine team. The February edition of the digital magazine only went live this morning (10am) and you should be able to access this now. 😀

Also if anyone does have any good walking apps they can recommend I would love to hear them - always looking for new walks!
