We have tried Peugeot, the aftermarket, parts suppliers, breakers yards, owners forums, etc. No joy.

Firstly, I think you should remove your reg number and vin from your post. While it’s not going to be of use to any genuine member here, it is revealing a lot on an open forum by way of making you traceable.

You will probably find more help on a Peugeot forum but there’s just a chance someone on the AutoSleepers forum may have an idea. https://www.autosleeper-ownersforum.com

Thanks for the advice. I had deleted I think the last 4 digits of the VIN and replaced with etc.

It’s too late now to use the edit box as that only remains open for an hour. A mod may spot it and act or you could email Rowena, the Community Manager, and ask her to do it.

No, in the UK, someone cannot find out your address from your car registration number unless there is a legitimate reason. This is because the UK has strict data protection laws that protect people's privacy. Explanation

    • The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) maintains records of all registered vehicles in the UK, including the owner's details.
    • The DVLA will only provide personal information about a driver if there is "reasonable cause" to request it.
    • "Reasonable cause" could include road safety or vehicle use events.
    • Authorities can access personal information if someone is suspected of unlawful behavior or is involved in an accident.

If you see someone driving illegally, you should report it to the police along with the registration number

Well, there you go. There’s the get out clause. We’ve not mentioned vehicle cloning yet either….

As a ex-vehicle tech, can you help the OP?

    Welcome back, btw.

@Johanna have you tried contacting this company at all? They might be able to advise, suggest an alternative to a genuine Peugeot part? Apologies if you have tried.

Sorry, I cannot post as it’s an EBay Site will get you name

It’s Autoparts UK. They might be able to advise.

If you can find one, an old fashioned repair garage preferably with older mechanics might be able to help as well. They are usually better at fixing older vehicles, and might have come across somewhere to get replacement parts from, rather than genuine Peugeot parts. Good luck with it.

@huskydog yes legally and technically that is true but of course there are ways around all that and a address could be found. Also as TW said it's not a good idea to give any information however small that can be used to help build up a bigger picture and eventually lead to further things, like ID theft. It's well known, are you saying that an address from a reg plate has never been found illegally or even the reg plate used in nefarious ways?

Additionally there' a lot of information one can find out just by having the reg plate, is it MOTed, insurance, a write off. outstanding finance… one thig leads to another and there may be a breach somewhere along the line.

And yes good to see again.

Your Puegot base unit is the same as a Fiat Ducato. Try typing fuel pump fiat ducato 1998 in to E bay search. There seem to be quite a few entries with photos to help you.
