240V - any bright ideas??
Hi all, just before Xmas the sockets on my 2018 Bailey Unicorn Madrid suddenly stopped working. Nothing had tripped and the rcd and boiler were still working normally. I turned the sockets mcb off and back on and the sockets sprang to life. Same thing happened last night but this time my quick fix didn't work so I guess the mcb needs replacing. Caravan is already booked in for its service in a few days but in the meantime, does anyone please have any bright ideas/workarounds for what else the problem might be or for surviving life in a caravan for a few days with no sockets? Thanks in advance!

Could it be a problem with one of the sockets? When it goes in for servicing they should be able to check to see what socket is cause the problem, it could just be a loose connection assuming its not a problem MCB?

thanks David, that’s a definite possible. I’ve tried using one socket at a time but no joy - will take each one out and see if there’s a loose wire. Thanks again!

thank you, that’s helpful, I didn’t know about them so have ordered one now. Managed to get my multimeter onto the mcb and it seems that that’s where the problem is. It’s under warranty but dealer isn’t open until after new year. Thanks again for taking the time to comment.

Hi, The boiler will be on a separate ring, so not affected. My guess would be a loose connection, this would be enough to trip the circuit breaker. Make sure you look for it whilst not "live". Good luck.

Thanks Chris, yes boiler works fine, and I think the battery charger is separate too (but not very good) so have some 12v. Am in the caravan for the next two weeks so it's not ideal timing.
