November Issue Magazine
Has anyone received their November Issue Magazine.
They appear to be getting later every month

The October magazine (also very late) reported on page 8 that the November magazine will be a bumper 104 page edition and would include Decembers too! It also said it would be a little later than normal (what ever that means, normal is always late) from the 6th November. Well its now the 19th and no sign of mine yet.
I think we are being moved by default to the magazine being only available on line. After 50 years as a club member its the worst magazine delivery ever. The club blames the postal service, I cant see that. The Camping and Caravan Club mags are always on time. My other mail is also on time (quicker than one would expect sometimes too) - so the C&MC must have an ulterior motif or it needs to put its deliver system that we pay for in our membership right.

@Casandra They do seem to have a few issues with the delivery of the magazine. The Club did run a survey a while ago and one of the questions was about the frequency of publication. Whilst many might like a printed version but there will be many who want to view it online, and some it seems , who don't want to view at all! It probably will go online eventually. No doubt the Club will be monitoring how many view it online? We used to get a monthly pensioners magazine from our former employer but even that has now gone online.

Our November magazine arrived today and is 140 page long around half of which are adverts.
I noted a few interesting points. Both Bunree and Sandringham will be close from November until July next year, and for Bridport there is no opening date. More disconcerting as far as we are concerned is that more sites are closing for good, Stamford and Ilfracombe, yet again non-facility sites, and also Crystal Palace.

I don't know about Ilfracombe but Stamford and Crystal Palace the decision was out of the hands of the Club. I agree its a shame in both cases. Apparently there are a couple of other sites at risk, can't remember where I saw it?

It was I that mentioned that other sites are marked for closure, as stated by a site manager to CC members that we know, Cae Mawr and Manesty, two more non-facility sites.

I have just seen a copy of the Nov 2024 mag. Rather worryingly I see that Burton Bradstock has changed massively. Page 44 has a picture showing the village with a large harbour, but of course this is not so. The photo is actually of West Bay, where I spent most of my youth and close to Bridport where I was born. West Bay of Harbour Lights fame, is also not really close to Bingham Grange and Burton Bradstock is another two miles away. Does nobody bother to check what is included in the publication?

Arrived yesterday 27th….
Does nobody bother to check….
DD..We often stay at Highlands End Caravan Park above Bridport…and as you say Bingham Grange is a fair distance away….
In mitigation, the club could argue that the magazine only has 2 editors, 1 deputy editor, and 2 assistant editors..
Aside..I note in the magazine 'Grab the perfect break' (p72) that they promote the Haliotis site in Normandy (Ref:N17). Please be aware that if you arrive with a Twin axle leisure vehicle you will be turned away. The restriction is in the sites 'important info' but not easily spotted.. unless you are an avid T&C's reader…

Ours finally arrived on the 2929t2929th, I can't correct the date, for some reason the numbers keep repeating, no matter how often I delete.
Wonder when December'December's will arrive. Another duplicate, no idea why. Tried correcting to no avail, getting ridiculous now, can'c an'tseem to type a sentence without duplications, I could scream!
