Activity box on the profile page
Can someone explanin what is the box for on your profile page and how should it be used?

The activity feed is your personal hub for interaction. Here, you can post updates if you wish to do so. Others can also post on your activity and you can post on theirs. You can also manage comments people have left on your feed by removing any that you deem unnecessary. 😀

@Rowena - Ro, sorry - I am being a bit dim but I don't understand your explanation. Interaction of what / with what/whom?. Updates of what? What is my 'feed'. (As I said, I am being dim, I know!) Also, I see that cyberyacht is this week's 'leader', yet, unless I'm mistaken, he hasn't posted anything on here for months.
Is this in anyway connected with social media 'speak' , because that may explain why I don't understand. Other than looking at FB occasionally, I don't go near it.

My interpretation is it is something similar to what goes on in "what are you all up to" thread.

I saw this activity thing when I came across it by accident. What a load of tosh was my first reaction(obviously cleaned up) and I haven't changed my opinion. This part of the forum clearly hasn't been designed for the age demographic on CT and is yet another example of the club buying a ready made forum and trying to adapt it or adapt us in using it.
Richard is quite correct when he mentions Cyberyachts absence (hope he's well and just decided he'd had enough of CT) but it just shows it's bananas (obviously cleaned up again) unless the activity includes views and not just actual participation.

I think it is best just to ignore it, and carry on with the new set up just second used to do with the old one, well at least that is shagging am doing.

@peedee I have just looked at the Activity box and there is statement " not much happening here yet" without anything showing who posted it, was it you?

@peedee When I saw the "not much happening here yet" I just wondered if that is just the default until its used or being a new forum, not yet set up? I don't mean this the wrong way but I suspect the admin of the forum are still finding their way around how the forum works which I imagine is a lot more complicated than the old CT?

'not much happening here yet' is indeed (I think) the default until you add something to your profile for the 'bio', or at least mine changed from that to what it is now. I recall changing it during the test period.

Nothing there. Anyway couldn' @ you as I'm using my android at present and have the same problem that's already been reported, namely duplication of the initial letter following the ampersand and no activation of being live so here I am doing it the old way.

Yes get the same on my Android tablet using Firefox and last night the site was unresponsive making it more difficult to use but the duplication of letters doesn't only occur when you use the @. I have been experiencing it when starting a post on my tablet and using my signiture. All seems well on my Windows PC.

Yes, it is. I cannot see it, but WN can, so I wondered if I posted something in my AB, tagged it to WN, if it would show up in his Activity Box. Sort of like a PM. I have a copy of what I sent WN in my AB, but of course my profile is private, so not sure if anyone else can read it. It was just a test to see what might happen, it’s often the best way of trying to do something. If someone wants to send me something via AB, I will look out for it, and respond back.

@Wherenext still working ok for me. I suspect the issue is device related. Back in the early days of CT, if you had an Apple device, it could be difficult to do some things. Hopefully it will get sorted.😁

I thought that as well @nelliethehooker - but it seems that it's now just on the Home page.
