@DavidKlyne it has been a single night on all the previous offers, as @Takethedogalong has said above. We have used each up to now, but have added day(s) on to suit our plans.

you give the code to staff when you arrive on site and the cost is deducted. Easier if you have e not paid in advance of arrival so make sure you tick the box to pay on arrival

Just done a straw pole with seven friends all CAMC members. Three have received the offer but four have not. Not very inclusive of CAMC. I wonder what their criteria is 🤔.

@LLM did you ask if they were all registered with the club to receive emails, or if they had received the offers in the past?

Apologies folks.… ( @Hja ) I've found the email fom the IClub offering the free night. I must have skipped over it..... dated 14th November...... to book a site between 3rd Jan tand 31st March....but we need to make the booking before 31st December.

It was part of an email from Nick Lomas that also dealt with Deposits, New sites and sites closing and sustainability.

Thanks for the insight and the answer is no, but I have spoken to a couple since and they are registered as you suggest but have not received an offer.

I haven’t got the email! Contacted the club on Friday, said I would get it today! Every time there is a free night I only know about it from posts on Facebook! I have checked my preferences and I should get all emails…I call member services and get a couple of emails… then they stop again 😾

@Three bears annoying for you, but all you can do is call customer services. Hope you get sorted👍

I sometimes wonder where all these lost emails go? I use an email client, MS Outlook which is part of Office. So I rarely go near to webmail and I wonder if people do the same whether its worth checking the email providers website just in case its gone into the wrong folder? Obviously if you already use the providers website my suggestion won't help.

I use ms outlook but the investigation they did for me suggested it had not been sent. Despite a promise of email in 24 hours it has not arrived by now, more than 24 hrs.

As said I would ring them again but, if you have one, try and ask to send it to a different email address as well as the one registered.

@Hja Did you get the email from Nick Lomas dated 14/11/24? The offer of the free night was at the bottom of that email with the unique code.

I hope you've managed to get some response from the club. I noticed my preferences had actually changed all by itself regarding the magazine. I've had for over 30 years but stopped getting it a few months ago so checked the preference and it had changed to no magazine. Still haven't got latest one though.🤷‍♂️

My preferences and email address are correct. Phoned the club mid morning. The operator checked everything, including the previous "chat" I had on Monday. She confirmed again all settings correct. Went away, came back said "they" were working on "that page" and there were a few before me but I should receive the email before long. As of now, no email. Checked "junk", not there. I had previously checked by in box, in and around 14th, and my deleted box in case it was there. I am as convinced as i possibly can be that I have not received it. On a previous time when I thought I hadnt received something they told me it had been sent, and I had opened it!! (I hadnt read to the end!!!)

    So tomorrow, another phone call!

I certainly agree with you there. I didn't take up the one earlier in the year (don't usually go away in March) but when I received the second offer, I booked 3 nights at Penhros on Anglesey for 3 nights in October. Great I thought, then when I got there I forget to mention it when booking in and the lady on the desk didn't ask me if I was taking up the offer of a free night, so I lost it, doh! I don't see why can't they do what Morris Leisure do when they offer a free night, and simply knock it off the full price when you book! If I am in a position to take a free night in future, I will put an elastic band around my membership card to remind me to mention it when booking in.

Ours came as a text message and we have just booked 3 nights at the end of Jan so will be using it then. Our friends have not received either a txt or email with their offer so they will ring customer services and check out what’s going on.

I've gone through Chat once, phone calls twice. Last time Thursday, where I was told should receive offer but it could take several days (still waiting) because they have a lot to work through! Seems to me something has gone wrong with their IT!! As i have said before my preferences were all ok, just not received the email. Seems to me lots contacting them because they have found out about the offer via one or another social media accounts. There must be loads of people not on social media, who know nothing about the offer and so wont benefit from it. As far as I can tell there has been no mention of the offer in the magazine, on the web site or on the official CAMC facebook site - unless someone can correct me. Not good enough really.

@Hja You would think it easy enough for them to note the offer on the "Offers" page of the Club website? If its open to all members I can't see any reason why not.

For anyone missing an email, just a heads up that I got a second email today with the offer and the code, be interesting to see if those that didn't get the email before get this one.

We got the second email (reminder) today as well as an offer to book for anytime next year on another email shortly afterwards. Did those missing the free night offer get that one?

I am wondering if the second email is because you have not yet booked a pitch? The Club may well be checking this?

You're certainly correct that the reminder is because a booking hasn't been made as it's headed "Don't forget to use your free night"

The other email mentioned was for the C&CC so ignore that.

In my case I did wonder if that was the case. But wouldn't that also be the case for those that didn't get the original email who probably wouldn't have booked a site if they were unsure whether they would get the free night?
