Reviews on the new format
I've only by chance seen the review "update" and noticed that the number of reviews left by the reviewer no longer appears.
I've often placed store by the number previously made, even if I don't necessarily agree with the review, as it tends to show a number of things, such as experience of poster and whether I have come to respect their review as being a balanced one amongst other things.
The new system seems to imply everyone is a first time reviewer and I'I'll miss this small but often pertinent part of the review.

yes, I tend to put faith in certain folks who do reviews and share similar tastes to us. Quite a few of my reviews vanished in the last forum update, so I tended not to do as many. Hope none of Nellie’s disappear…

I think they took them out of CT. They used to appear in Latest Activity. I just happened to open my phone and it updated showing reviews but when I went to use it it took me to new sign in and I lost them. I dont know where they are easily found now. Perhaps @Rowena could enlighten us.

The only way, on the main website, you seem to be able to access to read or write a review is to go to the webpage for that site. That really hasn't changed (not sure about the App?) I quite like the new display format as you can see more reviews on one page. Having said that I tend to agree with Wherenext its a shame that the number of reviews a member has made is missing. I wonder if that is because you could previously click on the reviewers name to see their other reviews? Perhaps that doesn't exist now? One other thing I would say is the the Club should really have some short guidelines on that is required in a review next to where you are writing the review, particularly about offensive remarks about site staff?

Under the old system the Latest Activity allowed you to read all of that days reviews but that no longer seems to be possible. I suppose you could argue that most people will only be interested in a site they intend to visit as far as reviews are concerned and being able to see all all is not really essential?

Where are the reviews?
I use review to book mark some possible sites to visit. I don’t just wait until I pick a possible site and then read the review. This is a point I made during the trial and got the impression that there would still be easy access to new reviews and there would be something that would encourage review writing, not just of club sites but also CLs .

Actually I tended to look through them for 2 reasons, ok 3. Firstly, like @Hja I bookmark possible sites in the S.D. or make a note to avoid. Secondly I check to see if anyone mentions the fact that the CL can be added to the "Sticky" for serviced pitches as some have slipped through the net. I then inform Johnny who is keeping that up to date and thirdly because I'm nosey!😅

Thanks for your feedback. In order to provide the best possible member and guest experience moving forward for both reviews and our forum, we needed to separate reviews from Club Together to fully support the new forum platform. Our reviews are now a stand alone platform and as it's easier and simpler for users to leave a review we hope this will encourage more members and guests to leave their ratings and reviews.
Thank you again, we really appreciate you sharing your thoughts with us and I will pass these on to the relevant teams.0 -
I understand why you have done it this way Ro but if we are to continue to offer advice on matters such as Serviced CLs that I have mentioned above I need to see all reviews of CLs as and when they appear like the old LA. If it can't be done then we will just have notice new CLs, as and when Maddie posts on the relevant thread.

@Wherenext Thank you for sharing. I've sent all this on to the relevant team and information on how you and others use reviews in this way.

I don't think that it is the case that most people just look at the review of a single site, many like to know what the reviews are for a number of sites in a particular area that they are thinking of visiting, particularly in the case of CLs.
@Wherenext just seen your post above and I agree with your comments

"Our reviews are now a stand alone platform and as it's easier and simpler for users to leave a review we hope this will encourage more members and guests to leave their ratings and reviews"
In which case I would have thought it would have come under it's own heading in either Quick Links or Categories but it doesn't appear to be listed in either which would have made it easy to add to your own personal Bookmarks Tab…..
or am I missing something?

There seems to be no actual way to access a list of the latest reviews, be they of club sites, CLs or sites abroad, which is definitely a retrograde step for those looking for a recommendation of site in a specific area without going through each site listed for that area.

As reviews are a stand alone platform, I’d think that means they are not part of this forum or Club Together as a whole 🤷🏻♂️

@Rowena if the Reviews are on a separate platform would you please update us as how we are able to access that platform? Is there to be a separate section on the club's headline listing to enable us to access all the latest Reviews?

Why do the reviews have to be separate in order to provide "the best possible member and guest experience"? Why not have them on Club Together AND on the new platform (wherever that is)? I read CT on most days and used to read most of the reviews that were posted and found many of them very helpful, whether the review was positive or occasionally negative and I doubt if I will be looking on a different platform anywhere near as often to just read reviews. I have often visited a site, (especially a CL site) due to reading a good review on CT, as others may have done, so perhaps it will have a negative impact on some sites,! I do often wonder if the Club have never heard of "if it isn't broken, don't fix it"!

Hi @nelliethehooker they can be found on each of the individual campsite website pages. I've passed on feedback regarding having a listing for the reviews that come through.

I envisage that most members know that reviews can be found on the website of sites, but I don't really want to trawle through numerous sites and numerous reviews. If I saw a review on CT, of a site which had a good review and it is in an area which I may be interested in, I would be far more likely to stay there, without having to look up the numerous (in the case of CLs) other sites which may be in that area.

Exactly what I meant, @vbfg

@Rowena, I appreciate that this is in the wrong place but I am able to type this without too much difficulty.
Every time I start time I start a sentence after type the first two letters the cursor jumps back a space and this if repeated for each subsequent letter of the first word until I hit the space key. Also if I enter a name using the @ facilfacility ( see what mean about getting repeat letters and words ) and then want to correct a following word by using the back space key, and doing so, I can then no longer type any further comments, even if I post the note and then try to edit it. Hope this makes some sense!!!

Thanks @nelliethehooker this has been reported.

Thanks, it has taken me 5 attempts to complete the typing of "Thanks" and after entering the link to you followed by a couple of spaces it won't let me back space to continue with this post, hence the reason this post finishes as it does! @Rowena

I am bumping this discussion to see if there has been any progress in being able to see a list of new reviews on a daily basis in one place as we had under the old system. If members are interested in an individual site then of course there is no issue, they can go to the site page and see all reviews. However some of us used the old system to seek out new places to visit, particularly important I would suggest with CL's.

Thanks @DavidKlyne I was going to ask @Rowena again if there had been any progress. I would be better to find out that they are not going to do anything about it than leave those that use the reviews to aid site selection in limbo.
