Just testing really. I THINK I have worked it out but I seem to have lost the post date after number 61116 -David Klyne. Is this normal? It’s a bit frustrating as I don’t look in everyday.

Don’t give up Debsc, it does get easier with use. If you click on your avatar photo, top right, it will list discussions you are on.
Edit, I have just found out how to bookmark a thread that might be a favourite…….at the top of the page, where it says “What are you all up to” look to the right and there is a little red/white flag. If you click on this, it will turn red, and you have bookmarked this thread. It will then show up when you click on your avatar under Bookmarks. Hope this helps👍

Hi heddlo and great to see you here. 😀

It should show all the dates of the post except for today's date but if you hover over the time it will show you the full info including the date. The same goes for any posts from yesterday and further back - they won't show the time but if you hover over the date then it shows full info including time. This should appear above the post but under the badges.

    Right found my way in.

Lovely photos of autumn colours. They colours have been fabulous even in the endless grey days we've been suffering for weeks. We have a had a lovely sunny Monday, but it didn't last sadly. It feels decidedly chilly today.

Good news milliehull, I hope your new tablets work my OH has alternative to statins as well as a low dose of statin. They upset him dreadfully.

Glad your OH is home takethedogalong. Hopefully his recovery will be swift. It's a drag trekking back and forward for visits and similarly for tests.

I'm hoping our life will be a bit more on an even keel. Since our new grandson arrived 7 weeks ago we've had 2 family deaths, we watched the last funeral today via streaming. Saved another trip to The Fylde - we managed a visit just before he passed away. Traffic both ways awful.

Tomorrow were visiting Starlight at Peterborough cathedral with the family. Hopefully that will lighten our mood.

i cut and pasted to add to the last paragraph and it didn't like it..... wouldn't let me type after pasting. Back to the paragraph start. Then wiping all that type .

Right just watched/listened to the forecast, talk of possible snow ❄️ here and much colder. I don't mind if it gets rid of the grey skies....

A new history group has started in the village. I need to get ready to go to tye 2nd talk tonight. I hope it's as interesting g as the 1st.

@heddlo it always rains whenever we go, torrential usually. But we do need to explore more. Lovely photos.

just quickly looking in to say hello. I must admit I’d missed the update about the new forum so was a bit surprised when I saw the message saying the old one was closed. Hope posting pics is easier

@Wherenext have a go at a photo, very easy. Use the little mountain icon bottom left, then once it has been added, you go to top of photo and resize it. Much easier than the old forum…

You can text alongside as well………😁

I don't use this android for photos but will fire up the old iPad air when I find the handle and try one.😂

@Wherenext it is indeed Dolbadarn. We had a lovely day there and the Slate Museum last December. 😁

Lovely Brown Hawker that we saw earlier this year. Yes, the uploading of photos seems easier, clearer and more controllable.👍️

    Heddlo

I think I was a bit confused about the numbering system because I thought the number of pages were wrong. It then dawned on me to check how many posts there are to the page and on the new forum it seems to be 25 whereas the old forum was only 10 so I was initially expecting the pages numbers to exceed 6000 so now understand why its only showing 2000 odd pages!

Had a lovely 2 days down the Conway valley on Monday and Tuesday. Had a stroll up the Great Orme to the graveyard and church of St.Tudno situated on the Orme. Llandudno takes its name from Tudno.

We also visited a small church near to the CL, called Caerhun, which is sited on an old Roman small fort and the present incarnation of the church is from the C12th. We knew it would be locked but the Yew trees were interesting with the birdlife and it was very tranquil.

    Bottom photo Caerhun.

Great talk on the Huntingdonshire Cycle Battalion. I'm always surprised by the number of folks who's phone ping and chime during such things. One women actually had a phone call, she answered it and was trying to get out of her seat and you could hear, hello, hello, are you there! So disrespectful.

On that note I'm glad I had my phone on silent. I have loads, not counted, of emails with post updates on this thread. I have bookmarked it, changed tag from white to red. I'm going to change it back and hope the emails with updates cease.

I had a couple of emails earlier and clicked the unsubscribe on the first. When I did it on the 2nd email, it said I had unsubscribed.....

I'll Report back if it works. I'm happy to read when I'm ready. Despite you all being lovely folk I don't want to know your every move!

@Bakers2 You can turn emails off for forum, and just get notifications instead. Click on your avatar and it will come up with Privacy and Settings. Choices are in there somewhere👍

Just trying TDAs photo delivery with another couple of Lakes pics. Really nice to have an easier to use format, although I can’t find how you got the text alongside your picture. Further investigation I expect! We have had an amazing time here - not bad for November.

Well, I pasted the reply and the whole post disappeared and is now above without the quote. Fingers crossed 🤞

Still not working..... but basically says my request has been processed......

AAs I'm typing this I've got another email saying takethedogalong has posted....

Also I sometimes get a double capital letter at the start of the paragraph. Me lingering too long??

    Last attempt to paste
