For the first time in 5 years, since Brexit and Covid, we travelled to our favorite destination, the UK ( we live in the Netherlands). We always travell with our two dogs and normally  we had to pay £38,00 for each dogs just to leave them behind in our car. This time we sailed with Irish Ferries ( Calais-Dover-Calais). What a pleasant surprise! We could take our dogs upstairs to a special and luxuary Dog residence even with an outside dogwalk. Talking about value for money!!!!

Great compliment for Irish ferries!

The rest of the story? Within these 5 years of our absence, roads got worse and prices had gone to the roof, but nothing can keep us away!

I'm so glad you still enjoy visiting the UK. I can't disagree with any of your comments on the country. We are, as all countries are, uniquely different and well worth a good explore.

That's brilliant news about Irish Ferries and should I be lucky enough to be able to cross the channel again something to remember.

We look forward to hearing about your visits
