We collected our dealer special Elddis 585 in January, with a bit of excitement. Our first brand new caravan in 10 years.

All I can say is the build quality is awful. The door doesn’t seal after our first trip, the toilet cassette wouldn’t reload after its first empty, the rear lights not fixed properly to the caravan body, the thread for the wheel lock not correct and an awning rail with no opening for the awning! All after 2 trips!
Now I’m sat in the rain watching water come under the seals of all 3 front windows.
The door has been waiting since April to be fixed as the first attempt failed, and now I have water inside the van from somewhere else.
Add a few other minor faults and I’m all set to send it back for a refund!
Anyway, rant over.
I hope everyone has a brilliant bank holiday weekend and gets some caravan time!

Regarding the toilet casseete not reloading, are you sure you have replaced the plastic sliding cover the correct way - It needs to slide from the centre outwards, it is an easy mistake to make.

Yeah, we fixed the toilet cassette quite quickly. There is a cog that sets the closed point of the flush blade. The screw wasn’t in properly so it had reseated in the wrong position. Managed to get my fat hands in with a magnetic screwdriver and sort it.
although, it is odd that the flush lever moves the other way in this caravan to our last!
