ClubFest Advice and Technical Question Time
We're gearing up for an exciting feature at this year's ClubFest that you won't want to miss – our Advice and Technical Question Time! Whether you're new to the club or have been with us through thick and thin, this session is the perfect opportunity to get all your burning questions answered by the experts.
When and Where?
Sunday 26th May Morning: Join us from 9:30am to 11am in the Bar Marquee.
Sunday 26th May Afternoon: We're also available from 2pm to 4pm in the Division and Regions Marquee.
Monday 27th May Afternoon: Catch us again from 2pm to 4pm in the Division and Regions Marquee.

Here is one for the committee to mull over
How long is seam sealant effective on todays vans before it should be renewed and is there any evidence to support the view that the state of Britains roads is causing this to break down with the flexing/shake up vehicles are being subjected to.

Safe Loading and Visiting a Weighbridge Benefits
I think that many would be very surprised if they took their outfit to a weighbridge with full holiday load.
What should be defined as in MIRO. To me the running order of a caravan or Motorhome should include all items necessary to use the vehicle as intended and all manufacturers should follow the same definition. Most manufacturers allow 1 gas bottle at 10Kg (currently available calor 6Kg is gross 14Kg) a 25m mains cable 4kg and fluids in wet heating and a couple of Kg for other fluids this is not "running order. For many manufacturers a battery is not included 15-25Kg, some include spare wheel others not. this is confusing and could lead to mistaken overloading. I think that MRO should be defined as battery 25Kg, spare wheel +jack 20Kg, water containers 10Kg, gas x2 28Kg, possibly a motor mover as most vans have one at 30Kg.
The other issue is load margin, the NCC calculation is for absolute minimum load which most manufacturers work to. This is frankly unrealistic for the kit that goes in most vans once you've deducted the above essentials not currently included in MIRO. We need usable, easily understood and consistent weight allowances to stay safe. The club should sort this out with the NCC.
It's probably similar or worse for Motorhomes with driver/passengers, fresh/waste water etc
