Holes in front window blind
Hello. We have a Bailey Cabrera 2022 which has the large window at the front with a blind that meets in the middle when closed. During the first year, we noticed some small holes appear in the blind. Bailey upheld a claim by the dealer we bought it from for it to be replaced, which the dealer did that winter. However, in the two to three months from then to caravan season started the following year, holes had appeared in this one too. We were on a seasonal pitch a long way from our dealer (and live long way from them too) and so couldn’t raise a claim until we took it to a new dealer last year. Bailey have upheld this second claim for the replacement blind, which is on order and will be fitted later this year when it comes in. Interestingly, it is a different design: the blind runs all the way down from the top and there is a flatscreen that comes up from the bottom. However, I am also wondering if Bailey had problems with the fabric in the original design and I am posting this to see if anyone else with a Unicorn 5 series (not necessarily just the Cabrera) have had similar problems

Similar problem with holes in a cashmere jumper in wardrobe at home. Mummy said it was moths. Spray with stuff.

Agree. Moths nibbling blinds - needs plan of action .Either complain to dealer, claim under warranty, write to forum, or spray with stuff.

Thanks for your comments. I hadn't thought that moths would be active over the 3 winter months from the new blind being fitted to when I noticed the holes. Also, there were no holes on any other blinds, including the ones top the left and right of the large window. Anyway, Bailey are upholding the claim for a replacement and I'll ask if this has been treated in any way.

We had a Bailey Unicorn (excellent and trouble free) but were warned by another owner that holes were appearing in his where the sharp folds in the blind occur, he thought it was caused by opening and closing frequently. We sold ours after 3 years and had no issues.
