Does anyone know if Bath Chew Valley is still an AS site?  If I use the app, it's not coming up on the map and I can't seem to find a page for it by using the search.

However, if I go straight to the Chew Valley website and click on the CAMC logo, the page comes up on the CAMC website.

All a bit strange....  I guess it could be some sort of website glitch.... ??

As far as I am aware, it is still an AS. There’s a problem with the “Find a UK Site” link I think, has been for a while. When you click on it, it should give you a drop down box, with options. But it isn’t doing this, it either reverts back to the search for a Club Site, or it flashes up the drop down box for the “Membership” button, which is on the left of screen. I am using Safari on an IPad DSB, so if you want to report my post, hopefully someone might fix this.

I will see if I can get it to work, and click on the link for AS Sites, if it does, I will copy and paste a link for you if I can👍

It doesn’t seem to be listed, but when I googled it, found this page

    https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-sites/england/southern-england/somerset/bath-chew-valley-caravan-park/

I expected it to be under south West, or Cotswold areas, but knowing how weird the Club is around geography, it looks like it might be listed under “Southern”🤭

Maybe best to give the site a call David.

From memory this site doesn't allow cars on pitches and parks the caravans themselves. Those of us who travel abroad, particularly Netherlands and some German sites have come across this but it's rare in this country. Can be inconvenient if you have heavy items, such as shopping etc and carpark is a fair distance away. Some sites abroad have trolleys for such eventualities. Worth bearing in mind if you intend going.

Yes, I get that too TTDA.

If you go to the app and click on 'Search Now' it takes you to the search page.  If you go straight to the 'Explore Map' without putting in any other info., all the CAMC sites and AS sites should come up on the map (providing you have AS ticked).  When I zoomed in to Longleat, I just happen to notice that Bath Chew Valley was missing.  (AS sites come up as maroon - see map below)  If you go back and put Bath Chew Valley in the Campsite search box, or even put in Bath in the location search, in both cases Bath Chew Valley doesn't figure at all.  However, the detailed page is clearly still there as demonstrated by your link and the link directly from the Bath Chew Valley website.  This suggests there is some software error in linking it together.

I have emailed Ro and asked her to pass this on to the relenent person/ team to look at.

Thanks for the info and suggestion Wherenext.  I wasn't specifically looking at going to Bath Chew Valley, I just happen to notice the error.  I do seem to remember thee was a site where yiu had to park away from your pitch, but didn't know it was BCV.

If anyone is looking for an AS and is using this method for searching, Bath Chew Valley could well miss out on a booking....  Lets hope someone fixes it soon.
