Club Shop. Not Impressed

I’ve not ordered anything from the club shop ( PRIMA leisure ) before. However, the items I wanted were a little cheaper than on Amazon, so I thought I would give them a go. I noticed that the basic delivery was with Evri, which when we have used them before has usually been 2 / 3 days trackable. The items were in stock and dispatched promptly. The dispatch email made no note of a tracking reference, although sometimes these come from the courier. I checked my emails again this morning and nothing from Evri, so I am assuming it’s some cheap option that PRIMA have negotiated without customer tracking. Just to be sure I emailed PRIMA and got an auto reply saying they normally respond within 2 days. First impressions matter a lot. As things stands I don’t think I will be using them again unless it’s something I can’t get anywhere else.

I had cause to use them recently for something that was difficult to get elsewhere, just took ages to deliver. Wouldn’t use unless really had to.

Ive used them about 4 times now. I own a Bailey, so if I need spares I don't have much choice.

Ive found them generally ok. The last time was a new leisure battery which arrived 2 days later.

The only bad time was a 99p bit of plastic for the bed slats...took 6 months, with no notification.

The big problem with them is tracking your order, and communication

It does seem it will be trackable, I’ve just received an email from Evri saying they  have it and providing a tracking number. It would seem dispatched yesterday, actually means today, as it says it’s at the senders local depot. I don’t particularly mind as long as I know when it’s being delivered. Just a little more information on their dispatch email would have been nice. It seems they have something in common with the club. Poor communication.

Its trackable once its left the warehouse Steve, its the order process that isn't. The ack always gives a date for dispatch, but its never updated if theres a delay.

When I was waiting for my bit of plastic I emailed to see where it was, I was told 'we havent got any'

When I emailed back that every new caravan has at least 40 of them, and had Bailey stopped delivering caravans as a result, I didn't get a reply.

Ive put an order in on 29th September, Im still waiting 3 months later. I get emails stating supplier delays, considering the three items are from completely different manufactures I'm wondering if its actually cash flow issues in Prima. Ive no idea why the CAMHC are using them. Clearly they are aware:

I needed new gas struts for the skylight on our Bailey Pageant. Looked on the Prima site and found them ....at £48!

Got the identical struts off eBay for £14.99 👍

Bit of research and you can normally get the parts a lot cheaper and MUCH faster delivery

I wish I had read this posting before ordering from the Club Shop! Like others Evri have lost my package,( containing motorhome mirror protectors, so not a cheap item), I get the impression their tactic is to do nothing and hope you go away. Similarly, I have contacted Prima Leisure and have yet to hear from them at all. My advice is do not use these companies; I certainly will not!

OK I thought I would give an update on what has happened. Last Thursday Evri claimed to have delivered a parcel containing motorhome mirror protectors at my house. They left the parcel, somewhere else, but even now I do not know where! I contacted Evri that evening who promised a response within 24 hrs, since then the only contact I have had from them was an email asking if the parcel had turned up 24 hours later. I also sent a email to PRIMA saying that the delivery had gone astray at the same time as I wrote to Evri. I heard nothing from PRIMA, so Monday morning I rang PRIMA to see what they could do, Stacey at their call centre was very good and offered me a another set of protectors to be sent out (by Evri!) or a refund within five days. I opted for the refund which was in my account within two hours, so my view on PRIMA has significantly improved but Evri only reinforced their poor reputation as a delivery company. Would I use PRIMA again? Certainly …….if they changed their courier!
