Poor communications

I may stand corrected but did not notice any prior notice warning of the shutdown of website for some 36 hrs at weekend. Most concerning on Fri evening when site went down completely immediately after hitting the payment option, No way of knowing whether accepted or not. Appeared to come back on some 24 hrs plus  later but even then giving silly info such as all pitches full for months on end.

Finally checked late on Sat evening to find booking  did not exist. Have now rebooked but quite seriously some info warning of such work should be given, Unforeseen problems can happen, but this was obviously planned work, and the page showing system will be restored SOON became a joke.

We have discussed here a few times the sad state of affairs re not being advised when the site is due to be taken down. Rowena, the Community Manager, agreed to give notice of down time when possible and, of course, the recent outage may have been a breakdown rather than scheduled maintenance. Her thread is linked below. I’ll leave you to draw your own conclusions as to why it’s not been updated for months despite the frequent bouts of down time.

Just looked at the info referred to by Tinwheeler.

It appears to infer that before going on line to carry out any action it may be wise to check if there is a planned outage of website.

What a way to run an outfit !!  Not surprised though after the booking site fiasco!!
