Has anybody had any problems with bearing failure on an EM303 mover? also has anybody had dealings with the suppliers Streetwise regarding warranty claims. The caravan I have was fitted  with this mover by the previous owner in 2021 and it carries a 5 year warranty. Streetwise are telling me that as I am not the person who paid for it, it is now classed as secondhand and not covered under their terms. I would like members thoughts on this.

Regards Ian.

This sounds like rubbish.   Have you checked with EMov to see whether the warranty is transferable?  I have one and will try to dig out my paperwork and come back to you.

OK I have had a look at the paperwork, this is also available online.  There is no mention of transfer of warranty.  It just says the the warranty is for 5 years and that it has to be registered with the company on purchase (not sure how this would be compatable with Consumer Protection law!).  The mover must not have been purchased second hand - no mention of the caravan it is fitted to being sold - and must have been fitted by an authorised person.  Do you have the paperwork for the fitting of the mover by the previous owner?  Might be worth your while chatting to the Club's legal dept.

Just had a thought.  If you bought the caravan recently you may be covered by Consumer Rights Act which gives greater protection than any guarantee.  Look at all the paperwork you got on purchase and speak to the Club's legal dept.
