What's everyone up to this weekend?
With the sun shining this weekend, I would love to know what your weekend plans are? Is anyone out in their caravans or motorhomes?

Afternoon tea party at home for us tomorrow, celebrating a family birthday, then all being well, Sunday we are taking our MH out for day to a Classic Car Show at York Racecourse. Not exhibiting (although our little VW Gatcombe does qualify), but it gives us a comfy base, I shall take my bike and ride into York, while OH and our pooch ogle all the lovely cars. Then we chill out over a meal cooked in MH before heading home. A nice day hopefully🤞😁

Currently in the Costa Brava, beach side site, last day tomorrow, moving on further south to the Costa Blanca on Sunday. Really we are just chilling out enjoying the sunshine, food and vino. Its a rainy evening but forecast is good for the weekend. Some weekenders have already arrived, I expect more. There are no other Brit campers here but think there are a few in the statics.

We are on a Norfolk and Suffolk DA rally at Breck Farm for The North Norfolk Railway 40's weekend. We will be going for a walk from the rally tomorrow, and intend visiting the NT's Felbrigg and Sherringham properties before moving on to our next site next week.

A visit to the village show, the one our son lives in next village to us, this afternoon. First time back since Covid and only our 2nd visit.
A visit for lunch, toddler nap and dinner, from said son and family tomorrow. A proper visit now arable harvest is over. Only finished last Tuesday - late this year.
But first, dog walk through the fields. Visit to local shops, sadly greengrocer went earlier this year 😢, for food. Found meat in the freezer for dinner tomorrow but my personal harvest, except tomatoes, has ended for now so mainly vegetables..that comes hard.
Whatever you're doing enjoy it and this beautiful weather. Safe travels to those on tge move.

Moving on further south today, the target is the Cambrils area about 3 hours drive away. Anyone who knows the area will know the intercity rail line runs along the coast here often close to or actually through some of the coastal campsites. Noise is not usually a problem, the trains just whose by rather than clatter noisily. Access to many sites is via low bridges under the railway and impassable to higher motorhomes like mine so not sure which site we will end up on. That will end my weekend
Google Street View is hopefully my friend.

Spent a few days in the Cotswolds, with good weather. Yesterday arrived on a site in Dorset and had a nice walk from site in the afternoon. Today: no sun to be seen, but plenty of clouds, rain, thunder and lightning
Forecast says it should clear up later, so living in hope

After a glorious but at times too hot fortnight, until an hour ago we where sitting outside under the Isabella Shadow enjoying some chicken kebabs and salad, on the banks of the River Cher in The Loire.
The rain has now started and it is like we are back home in Devon for the next few hours. So we are now "indoors" with a nice French fruit tart, chocolate and a lot of wine and associated nibbles. We have a full water tank, free Internet and so far the power is still on.
I think we will be able to cope, but next will not as the awning is collapsing.

Evening
So, not quite off topic as this Wednesday coming is my weekend, well all my rest days for the month actually. We've both got September backache. Result of hand scarifying and seeding grass pitches! Going to our sister site just down the road for a chill out, a bit of a social with the staff there, a walk on the coast path, a read of a book, a dvd fest and a reflection on our season (only 2 weeks left).
