Alternatives for warranty repairs

My 1 year Swift caravan has developed a leak - the front fixed skylight cracked and is now letting water in. Contacted the dealer who has been in touch with Swift and a warranty repair authorised ( though they didn’t tell me that - I contacted Swift myself to find that nugget of info). My dilemma is that the communication with the dealer is dreadful and I am worried this is going to take forever to get fixed when I want to be using the Caravan.

I’m not sure where I stand getting it fixed with another dealer/repair shop as I understand the warranty contract is with the original dealer. Any suggestions?

I live in South Lincolnshire.

Going somewhere else is unlikely to be quicker and would require Swift to be party to the arrangement. Until the dealer fails to meet the conditions of the warranty, your options are almost nil. On a practical note, can you tape over the crack to minimise water ingress?

I'd make sure your paper trail with the dealer is seamless. Log everything.

Start with recorded letter laying everything out. Can your e-mails be flagged to require an acknowledgement.
