Site recommendations
Hello everyone.
New member here to CAMC. Been campervanning for around 7 years now. Joined the club after been given some vouchers for a birthday.
As per the title I'm looking for some site recommendations.
Me and my wife have 4 nights to go away mid September. We like walking and visiting pubs at the end!
We would need a site with showers and loos, hookup, and dogs allowed.
Be nice to stay in one place for 4 nights if there's enough to do, but could split it between two sites.
We are staying in Holmfirth at the end of the trip in an Air BNB with some friends so would be handy to be an our so away from there.
We've just stayed at Wharfedale for the weekend which is lovely.
Many thanks 👍
Dave

Hello
You can use the search function to see what would be near to Holmfirth. Click on Find a Uk campsite above then on the following screen, click on location, then start to type in Holmfirth and select Holmfirth UK. From then it will give you a list of club sites and their distances in order from there. You can also use the map to see further afield, or do a new search.
Most club sites have showers, toilets, and EHU and all club sites allow dogs (free).
You might want hardstanding and you can filter for that too?

Dave, One hour south of Holmfirth would get you to Beechcroft Farm near Buxton in the Peak District - but you may want the hour to be in a different direction.

No idea which direction you might want from Holmfirth, but you could try Greensprings Touring Park, not far from Barnsley. Lots of fabulous walks, great pubs, interesting gardens and places to visit around. It’s an undiscovered area to a certain extent, so won’t be quite as busy an area as some places.

It would be best if you told members in which direction you are going to travel and how far away, in distance or time, from Holmfirth you want the site to be. There are a large selection of sites which might suit you but definitely more information needed about your travel options.

Thanks for your feedback. We are based in Bury, we aren't too bothered in which direction from Holmfirth, just Ben handy to be a couple of hours away from there.
I've seen the search function but it's really helpful to get some personal recommendations and tips on where to for walks etc.

The club's Burrs Country Park site should suit your requirements, with pub next door, but perhaps a touch too near to home for you. The Bolton Abbey site is another, but in opposite direction, good for walking but the pub is a bit further away.
