We got home today from a 15 day trip and it was there, but no idea when it arrived.

I don't even use the hookup, hence my reluctance to pay CAMC prices for stuff I don't need.
During my recent, albeit shortened due to family circumstances, trip to Scotland I noted the overwhelming predominance of motorhomes. If CAMC do not take account of changing demographics, by perhaps adding an aire type facility to sites, they may find even more empty pitches than currently.

Did you look in actual club sites? Otherwise of course you'll see more MH on the roads, especially the way you tour?
On the two club sites we looked at it it was in fact about 70% MH, which shows the club is attracting them in good numbers and many of them with awnings. It's just a different type of touring with a MH. And we didn't see many empty pitches. One site was mostly full, only one or two grass pitches left.

"…by perhaps adding an aire type facility to sites…"
Which is something all members would foot the bill for. In reality, there simply isn’t space so it’s a non-starter. CLs and similar fill that need.

I thought the argument about Aires had been done to death months/years ago - probably when we were still members!
From what I read, written by regular "over there" Aire users, they are best situated within walking distance of villages/towns and run by local authorities or the equivalent. Given the location of most club sites and the more important calls on local authority resources these days, I see little point in reopening that particular can of worms.

I'm not sure that the club needs to go down the route of aires on or next to sites. Aires seem to be springing up all over the place from what I've been told and read. If the club did decide to go down that route(they won't) its a fair bet that they would be overpriced.
Just for info for those who don't use them overseas, they are not always in cities/towns/villages we have stayed on a number that are out in the countryside. In fact its the reason why we have stayed on them. They are great to use at weekends and holiday periods as they tend to be nice and quiet.
As to the July magazine I'm sure we have one somewhere but it rare that I look at it these days due to it being full of adverts and info that doesn't interest me.
