My wife and I have just returned from a months holiday touring in Wales in our motorhome. I would like to advise members of  2 points which I think will be of interest:

1. Wales in general is not motorhome friendly in most major towns car parks are restricted by barriers to prevent larger vehicles parking and where the access is allowed larger vehicles are prohibited due to the rules of not allowing parking over more than a single bay. This led to many areas (towns and cities) which we just bypassed instead of visiting and spending time sight seeing.

2. My second point is a delightful site which we spent our last few days in called Brunette Cottage Caravan Park, Ty Broughton, near Wrexham. The site is without doubt the best we spent any time in throughout our months holiday. This is a Certified Site it is very friendly, immaculately maintained ( which can be seen in the photograph). The site owners are so friendly and helpful that they offered to collect any shopping we required and they also have  an out building which is set up for site users who may need any caravan/motorhome spares or tools whilst on site.

In our whole month of touring Wales this was the most delightful, friendly and the best maintained site we stayed in and our only regret was we found this site at the end of of holiday. The photograph of the facilities shows how well maintained the site is for visitors.

We have just had a good holiday in Pembrokeshire, we didn't take our van this time but noticed most car parks were without barriers and also had good ev charge points (we have an ev.) So much depends on the area you visit.

Glad to hear you liked the CL, hope you leave a review for them, lots to choose from throughout Wales.

We live in Pembrokeshire and the coastal car parks near us (Newgale/Solva/St Davids) are no problem but they charge a higher fee for motorhomes but it is for a longer time than the base car price.. You can look up all car parks in Pembrokeshire on the  Council web site for information.
